Dissolved Oxygen Analyzer MKT 66

The MKT 66 Analyzer is a dual channel instrument, which can measure oxygen twice and simultaneously temperature twice. Sensors can be at different points, at a distance of up to 1000 m from the analyzer. According to the set value, the apparatus can control the frequency converter and thus the oxygen concentration. The analyzer contains two controllers, which can simultaneously control two autonomous lines (two activations) at wastewater treatment plants. The analyzer can produce an arithmetical average of both oxygen measurements. The arithmetical average could be used as an input variable for the controller.

Four rely outputs can be used for multistage control of the turbo-blower or other aeration units. A couple of relay outputs can also be configured in such a way that the two relays, with two different limit values, can be alternately switched over at a set time interval.

Semiautomatic calibration in the air is easy and precise. The operator (according to the instructions on the display) only has to remove the sensor from the measured medium. The apparatus performs all other tasks.
If a portable oxygen meter is available, than calibration is even easier. It is enough to measure the oxygen concentration by an external meter and to load the measured value into the instrument (external calibration mode).

For measurement in wastewater treatment plant nitrification basins the SPO 41 submersible probe and CSOT XXPS sensor are used. The sensor features a special cover which optimizes water flow around the active part of sensor, essentially improves the self-cleaning effect of the flowing water and prevents dirt sedimentation on the sensory surface. As the sensor is mounted stationary on the activation tank wall, the cleaning of the sensor by flowing water is most efficient.

It is possible to store 15,000 measured values in the analyzer memory, which provides a several-month record of the process.

The analyzer has up to four analogue outputs 0(4) - 20 mA. One output (in dual channel connection two outputs) always gives information about the measured oxygen concentration. The remaining outputs can be used for temperature measurement, the arithmetical average or as PID controller outputs.

The analyzer is manufactured in version T - for indoor installation and in version V - for outdoor installation.
