Multi-parameter Meter MFD 79

The pocket multi-parameter instrument MFD 79 is the successor to the successful pocket oxymeter MKT 44A. Performance enhancements over its predecessor MFD 79 include its ability to measure both pH and ORP in addition to oxygen and temperature. A further enhancement is the ability to store and graph measured values. Thanks to the optimal features of the oxygen sensor, it is possible to measure all parameters both in clean and dirty, running and stagnant water. The MFD 79 is suitable for both exacting customers and unskilled personnel.

Typical applications:

  • Surface water monitoring – brooks, rivers, lakes, ponds, water basins etc.
  • Waste-water treatment – measurement in all technological points of biological WWTP– inlet channels, nitrification, denitrification stages, neutralization, outlet channels etc.
  • Fish-breeding facilities – ponds, fish farms, store-ponds, aquariums etc.
  • Measurement and control of oxygen content in food - processing industry
  • Drinking water processing– raw water (pH, oxygen), floatation (pH), water clarifying – flocculation, precipitation (pH), sand filter treatment (ORP), alkalization (pH), finished water (pH, oxygen)
  • Decontamination processes

Features

  • The measured value of oxygen concentration is immediately available once the instrument is on. It is not necessary to wait until after the sensor is polarized.
  • Measurement of oxygen concentration is possible in still water - it is possible to make a pinpoint measurement and to draw a distribution map of oxygen concentration even in a small water volume.
  • Backlit graphic display – comfortable measurement even in darkness
  • Possibility to record measured values and create graphs
  • Feeding from two primary cells or rechargeable batteries - size AA
  • Small dimensions, low weight, low current consumption
  • The extremely low oxygen consumption of these sensors leads to a lower demand for oxygen input into the electrode, which means a lower velocity of measured water. The sensor can actually work in any condition without additional mixing. This property enables pinpoint measurement and measurement of oxygen profile even in the smallest water volume.

Semiautomatic single point calibration in the open air (in the sensor cover) is easy and exact.

Oxygen sensor is provided with high quality membrane ensuring a long lifetime (24 month) without the necessity for frequent recalibration.

Since miniature pH and ORP sensors are for transport and storage kept in cases containing solution of KCl, they are always prepared for immediate measurement.

Protection grade of the case IP 54 – the MFD 79 is protected against dust and splashing water.

Practical neoprene case protects instrument and sensors for transport and storage.
