Reference Electrodes

Reference electrodes serve as a source of stable electrical potential. They have a glass or plastic case - diameter 12mm, cap. diameter 16mm and overall length 145mm.

Electrodes marked by a typical number beginning with 4 are fitted with by a standardized NZ14 ground glass joint for installation in the measuring vessel socket. They are also suitable for polarographic measurement in Metrohm, PolaroSensors, Ekom PA and GAT vessels and others provided with the same cone.

Electrodes marked by typical number beginning with 6 are reference electrodes, built in a mechanically resistant plastic case without filling opening, with saturated electrolyte and sufficient reference salt reserve.

All saturated reference electrodes are also manufactured in maintenance-free versions with a jelly reference electrolyte with sufficient reference salt reserve without filling opening. These electrodes are marked by a letter G following atypical number.

The electrodes are terminated by a coaxial cable (0.8 - 1m) and BNC connector. The reference systems are Ag/AgCl, Kcl (c = according to demand) for argent chloride electrodes, Hg/Hg2Cl2, Kcl (c= sat.) for calomel electrodes and Hg/Hg2SO4, K2SO4 (c= sat.) for mercury sulphate. In cases where it is not possible to use KCl as a solution for diaphragm, for example, where there is a possibility of producing precipitate, argent chloride and calomel electrodes are manufactured in a twin bridge version, where the reference system is separated from the measured solution by appropriate electrolyte. Temperature range is 0 - 80 0C for argent chloride, 0 - 70 0C for calomel and 0 – 40 0C for mercury sulphate electrodes. It is also possible to provide electrodes with atypical design and dimensions.
